Who says students are lazy??

We were really lucky to have  a fantastic group of young people come and volunteer for us from Newcastle University’s Biodiversity Conservation and Ecosystem management MSc course on Wednesday. They worked their blimmin socks off and made such a difference by cutting back our wildly overgrown willow, furiously digging the pathways between our veg beds (so fast we thought we would run out of work for them to do) and clearing the jungle in front of the Medway building and we’re very grateful. Thank you #newcastleuniversity we hope to have you back very soon!

From June 12th, Higher Ground Allendale will begin to permit volunteers back on site. We will be strictly limiting the numbers of volunteers at any given time.

More information is available in the top menu on the website.

The public footpath from Shilburn Road to the exits at the bottom remains open. Thank you to everyone for observing these restrictions during this difficult time. We'll be up and running soon but for now, let's stay sensible.
