We were really lucky to have a fantastic group of young people come and volunteer for us from Newcastle University’s Biodiversity Conservation and Ecosystem management MSc course on Wednesday. They worked their blimmin socks off and made such a difference by cutting back our wildly overgrown willow, furiously digging the pathways between our veg beds (so fast we thought we would run out of work for them to do) and clearing the jungle in front of the Medway building and we’re very grateful.
