Happy New year!

Published by JANE on

Happy new year and a huuge thanks to everyone who helped out in any way, big or small, in 2019!

We’ve had a fantastic year including our first crops, our first referrals, and over 60 volunteers offering over 500 hours of time. With their help we’ve created a lovely pond area, started our coffee den and sold our first veg boxes. We’ve had coverage in the Northumbrian magazine, the Journal, been on Radio Newcastle and met the North of Tyne Mayor. We’ve raced snails, made wreaths, made friends and served soup.

All in all it’s been a corker.

So here’s to another fantastic year full of hope, mud, team work and lovely veg- we couldn’t do all of this without the support of our fantastic community, if you would like to be part of our lovely little project please give us a call.

Wishing you good mental health in 2020

Jane and Sam

From June 12th, Higher Ground Allendale will begin to permit volunteers back on site. We will be strictly limiting the numbers of volunteers at any given time.

More information is available in the top menu on the website.

The public footpath from Shilburn Road to the exits at the bottom remains open. Thank you to everyone for observing these restrictions during this difficult time. We'll be up and running soon but for now, let's stay sensible.
