2022 WILL be the year we start to produce fruit!

Although we tried last year, and planted a fruit garden with financial help from the Corbridge Gardening society, the birds and deer were the only creatures to have benefited from it in any way. I tried to beat them to it most mornings whenever I spotted some ripening berries but they were always gone by first light.

Most annoying.

So, we were lucky enough to have some donations towards buying this huge fruit cage, inside it we have raspberries, strawberries, black and red currants, rhubarb, stepover apple trees and pear trees. Although they weren’t in leaf when this photo was taken, it’s now looking pretty lush and very hopeful. We can’t wait to be able to sell some of our own fruit!
