We have been so busy it’s been hard to get around to writing the blog, but better late than never!
Our book-swap, coffee morning and plant sale was a great success, Sam spent hours sorting and labelling individual plants making sure they were all healthy and ready to sell. Most of them were perennials including Hostas, Polemoniums, Geraniums, Astrantias, Primulas and many more. We also had a bargain table for all of the odds and ends of herbs and bedding plants which were snapped up, there were a few left behind that I’ve snaffled and put in my planters which I’d say is a win-win.
Loads of cakes and biscuits were donated and my Mam and Georgie made sure everyone was fed and watered and there were no fights in the queue.
And I think the book swap was brilliant, I saw people leaving with armfuls of books and the remaining boxes full we donated to the Catton fair this Saturday.
All in all we loved having the building buzzing with life and we’re so happy everyone enjoyed it. We made a grand total of £523 which will go towards our running costs and we’re really grateful for everyone’s support. Thanks all who came, donated and helped out.
